Hello and welcome,
Thank you for visiting our KMS Library web-page. Please take your time and explore a few sites I made available to you. There is a wonderful hidden world awaits you with just a click of a mouse or a tap of your fingers. See what other teens are reading, which books your librarian and teachers are excited about, and check out which books and e-books your library has available to you. Also, don’t forget to check out your Kopachuck Middle School Library HOME page, by clicking on KMS Library Search. It may ask you to log in. That login is the same PSD user name and password as you use for your chromebook.
Thank you and explore away!

Increase Your Child’s Reading This Summer
With summer in full swing, kids are sleeping in, having fun with friends, enjoying ice cream and relaxation but let’s not forget about fun with books.
The average child reads for only six hours over summer vacation. That is only 4 minutes and 30 seconds a day - the same amount of time it takes to microwave popcorn!
Our library specialist, Kathy Kamp, recommends an easy, fun way to get your student reading and/or listening to audiobooks over the summer. It is called SORA. This app allows people to download e-books or audiobooks through the Peninsula School District or the Pierce County Library.

If you’re looking for a greater incentive, have your child join the Pierce County Library System’s Summer Reading Program.
Another option is to drop by our community library, located just outside of our gate for free books. If you’re cleaning off shelves, donate a few of your favorite books, too, to share with community members.
Let’s get reading!
