LIBRARY AND MEDIA CENTER

Hello and welcome,

Thank you for visiting our KMS Library web-page. Please take your time and explore a few sites I made available to you. There is a wonderful hidden world awaits you with just a click of a mouse or a tap of your fingers. See what other teens are reading, which books your librarian and teachers are excited about, and check out which books and e-books your library has available to you. Also, don’t forget to check out your Kopachuck Middle School Library HOME page, by clicking on KMS Library Search. It may ask you to log in. That login is the same PSD user name and password as you use for your chromebook.

Thank you and explore away!

Looking for a way to relax? Get lost in a book!

Two people wearing face masks sit in chairs in a library, reading books.

Fall in love with reading!

With fall upon us and winter shortly behind, it is a great time to cozy up with a book. Each month your school library receives about 10 new books. This is a great time of year to check out something new to read, try a new genre or try a new author. Children who read at least 20 minutes a day are exposed to 1.8 million words in one school year. Reading is also good for your mental health and growing your vocabulary.

Would you rather read on your electronic device? Download the SORA app (Welcome to SORA!) or click on the SORA icon in your school portal. You will be able to download ebooks and/or audiobooks.

Maybe you are looking for a reading challenge? Click on over to the Pierce County Library website and track what you read through December 15 to be entered for a chance to win a gift card.

Happy reading!
